  1. I hope you find talking to other students, especially the ones not in Assumption, interesting, especially if you can contact another English teacher. Good Luck

  2. Simulations? I hope you can find some really good ones and share them with me, since we teach the same subject.

  3. Simulations are applications that provide means to virtually experiment with different ideas. For example, in IDE656 I use a Simulation Program to analyse and predict environmental factors, and how if you just changed one variable, all variables are affected. I noticed that students engaged and their questions were more informed about the topic. Over the next few weeks I will try and identify resources and links that will help us all with our students, specifically those links that lead to Free Simulation software in a variety of subject areas.

  4. I feel that simulations can be really useful for multiple reasons. First, being in an online class this can allow for a teacher to demonstrate something without having to set up a virtual classroom. Second, this could be really beneficial for students who need more than just a textbook or article to understand how something works. I am really interested to see what educational simulations are out there!

  5. I have not had a lot of expereince with simulations but the few i have had i thought helped me out. Being able to manipulate different variables and seeing different outcomes helps to see the different perspectives in a problem. Great topic!
