This is a good example of online help for learners, whose first language is not English. I start with the famous DAVE’S CAFE
Here some examples of the links:
If your school has students who struggle with English I will introduce you siome interesting resources that know are good because I am an EFL teacher.
I really enjoyed looking through Dave's ESL cafe! There are so many useful ideas on this website not only for students, but teachers and parents as well. Often I think students and teachers don't know where to look when they need assistance with a problem or struggle that is occurring. This website provides not only examples of activities, but tips and readings as well all in one place. Having all this information centrally located allows for it to be more effective because students and teachers aren't having to go back and forth across websites, but rather all the information is right there in front of them. This website is going to be added to my "bookmarks" because these activities are good for all students.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI thought the website was very interesting. I agree with Angela it is great that all the information in centralized in one site. I how when you open it to the homepage that has many different articles you can read. It allows you to skim through quickly to see if there are on topics that you might want to read about that you had not though of.
I am very familiar with this site and it has very useful links to other ESL & EFL sites. There are many resources but they are usually for lower level students than the ones I teach.
ReplyDeleteThis link takes you to the student forum in Dave’s Cafe

What students say about learning is covered really well on this site
Vissunee, this is a great blog topic, and I am looking forward to what you are able to share, especially knowing your personal experience and expertise!
ReplyDeleteI am really pleased Angela that you found it useful. Check out my new links.
ReplyDeleteTo my way of thinking, EFL sites are usually organized in a really good way.
